Market Insights Report, networking + MedCan 2020

Well here we are in 2020, and while we have seen plenty of impressive technological advances, we’re not quite in the world of human feet becoming just one big toe, we’re not living in flying houses and c, x and q are still part of the alphabet as previously predicted.

2020 is going to be a big year for BioTechNZ with a number of major projects and events already on the calendar.

BioTechNZ Market Insights Report – Innovating for a Sustainable Future

It is critical to be able to measure and track the economic performance and growth of the NZ bioeconomy. In order to do this, BioTechNZ has received investment from the Sustainable Food & Fibre Futures fund (Ministry of Primary Industries) to lead a comprehensive study into the current state and future opportunities for biotechnology to contribute to New Zealand’s economic growth and diversification.

The last time a report of this type was completed was in 2008, and Stats New Zealand has not published data on the biotech sector since 2011.

The study will be used to identify opportunities, help develop policy and raise the profile of biotech in New Zealand, and New Zealand biotech internationally.

Next week you will receive an invitation to fill out a survey for the BioTechNZ Marketing Insights Report. We would love as many organisations as possible to complete the survey in order to give us a comprehensive overview of the state of the NZ biotech sector. All information collected in the survey will be anonymised in the report, which will be released in the middle of the year.
