Insights from the Executive Director

Thank you to everyone who participated in the inaugural Life Sciences Summit 2023!  After so many years of remote working, it was an absolute delight to reconnect and hear what has been happening across Aotearoa and where we need to be striving for the future. We have plenty of work planned for the year ahead, and I will keep you updated on forthcoming activities and events.

Life Sciences Summit 2023 Wrap-up

Thank you to everyone who made our summit possible — all the speakers, panellists and facilitators who shared their valuable insights and thought leadership, including our wonderful host Victoria Metcalf and Melemafi Porter. We were delighted to learn that 89% of the attendees view the event as a key forum for the growth of the sector. View our photo gallery here. Special thanks to our incredible sponsors who made the Life Sciences Summit 2023 possible, especially our Diamond Sponsor, Callaghan Innovation.

During our two day programme we featured:

  • 42 sessions
  • 26 exhibitors
  • 30 sponsors
  • 63 speakers
  • 397 summit attendees

I’m already looking forward to next year! Save the date for 26-27 March 2024 in Wellington, New Zealand. Please register your interest here and we’ll keep you updated with news and information.

This networking opportunity is bringing together animal health industry leaders, researchers, government, investors, and innovators to discuss the latest issues and opportunities New Zealand is facing with regards to animal health.

Our request for this networking function is to please bring a friend, colleague or plus one that is involved or interested in the animal health sector to help us build this community.
